Atlas Shrugged movie accounts for 15% of Fandango’s advance ticket sales this weekend

From an article in Variety:

According to online ticketing service Fandango, “Scream 4″ is scaring up 24% of ticket sales as of Thursday afternoon, with “Rio” only a shade behind at 23%. The indie adaptation of classic Ayn Rand tome “Atlas Shrugged,” from Rocky Mountain Pictures, bowing at 299 locations, surprisingly ranks third with 15% of the site’s advance ticket sales.

But don’t tell Peter DeBruge.

The websites MUST add the additional theaters to their sites. I found many theaters showing this film that are not on the website AND are not listed on the Yahoo theater listings. You must go to the theater chain site to find showings. So if you are looking to go see this film, look at the movie theatre sites.
Why is Yahoo not showing on their pages?

I saw Atlas Shrugged. I had to drive damn near an hour to find a theatre. Apparently normal theatre’s don’t like selling tickets. Anyway, it was a great movie and scared me more than scream 4. I hope part II has a larger budget, because it would be LOTR kind of epic if they had backing.

Oh, and I didn’t use fandango to buy the ticket. I bought it directly from the “independent” edgy theatre.. or whatever. Seriously, the only movie I’ve wanted to see in forever and the monkeys can’t put it in their damn theatre’s?
